The Malaysian hydrogen ecosystem

From renewable generation to electrolysis, storage, mobility and export, Malaysia's value chain is taking shape across Peninsular and East Malaysia — with Sarawak leading at industrial scale. The critical challenge H2Malaysia exists to solve: supply and demand efforts are often invisible to each other, and the alliance connects them.

Policy & regulatory updates

The national direction is set by the Hydrogen Economy & Technology Roadmap — launched at IGEM on 5 October 2023 and running to 2050 across three phases, targeting a levelised cost of hydrogen of USD 1/kg — together with the National Energy Transition Roadmap.
